History happens here.
The imagination is captivated by stories of ancient civilizations, epic battles and great world leaders. But compelling and important events have played out on smaller stages as well. The boarded up factory, the out-of-the-way museum, the volumes in the library basement, or a local veteran, just might have a significant story to tell.
Our muse is producing short documentaries on local history subjects and people. These adventures have taken us to bars, brick yards, women's clubs and more than a few small historical societies. We hope you'll share your local history stories and ideas with us. Weather it is local, national or global, all history has the potential to be universal. We like what Johann Droysen expressed when he wrote, "history is the self-consciousness of humanity."
